Spiritual Poems

After The Party

After the party when it appears

You’re all alone

I will be with you

To gently guide you home

After the party

After the alcohol and weed

I will be waiting

To bring all the peace you need

When you feel hopeless

And think you’ve really bottomed out

I’ll be the trap door that finally leads you out

When pink champagne and sweet cocain

Won’t shield you from your hidden shame

Just call my name and you’ll regain your lost serenity

The smiling face

The warm embrace

Til’ someone says

“I need my space”

Just call my name

I’ll help erase

The pain that’s in your heart

And when you find out peace doesn’t come

from what you own

That’s when I’ll give the peace

you’ve never known

When you’re exhausted

Trying to make the world make sense

Then I can show you a world

 that’s not so dense

And when you see that this planet

really runs on fear

Try lookin inside

I will be waiting for you  here

When your hands are empty

“Cause you’ve let go of everything

Then I can fill them with the riches of a king

After the party

When there’s no place you wanna be

You’ll find your way to the memory of me.

Beautiful Illusion

Beautiful Illusion

You have kept me hypnotized

Till a Miracle infusion gave me two new eyes

Beautiful illusion

Now I see your darker side

You are lovely and amusing

But your jaws are open wide

It's not that you are evil

And you're leading me to hell

It's just that you lead nowhere

And I see this all too well

You have beauty beyond measure

Full of sad and tragic tales

But I seek another treasure

And your beauty start to pale

You are rich with gold and diamonds

And all kinds of precious ores

But the moment that we find them

We go looking  'round for more

It's not that you are evil

It's just that you're designed

As a place where hungry people

Seek but do not find

Beautiful Illusion

I am slipping through your cracks

When I hit my big reunion

I am never looking back

I know that I can't get there until

All of us are free

So I swear that I'll be taking

Everyone I can with me.

Ordinary Love

Ordinary love

Is miracle enough

To light the darkness of

The longest night

Love alone can transform

Broken wings into flying things

And the soul's inner storms

And change the darkness to dawn

Ordinary love

Is miracle enough

To light the darkness of

The Longest night

Love alone can create

Family trees out of tiny seeds

Mend a mind full of hate

And guide it to heaven's gate

Ordinary love

Is miracle enough

To light the darkness of the

The longest night

Love alone really heals

Minds and hearts where the hurting starts

Sees right through anger's shield

To bless what it has concealed

Ordinary Love

Is miracle enough

To light the darkness of

The longest night

Love is blind to our shame

But sees so well through the outer shell

Doesn't hear praise or blame

But hears the heart's cry of pain

Ordinary Love...

The Reversal

Well I used to think that heaven

Was just nature in disguise

Until the day I realized

I was telling myself lies

Now I'm seeing that I had things in reverse

I was trying to drag heaven down to earth

Well I used to think this planet

Was the place to be

But it's just the insane asylum

for the whole galaxy

Well I guess I had it backwards in my brain

This is just a place you stay 'til you get sane.

We're not broken

We're not bad

Truth be told is

We've been had

Listening to our worst fears

Is what keeps us here

And I think it's time we made it disappear

WelI I think I worked it out now

The below and the above

We give God our gifts of fear and

He gives back his gifts of love.

Well I think I finally got it right

I will bring my darkness to the light.
